Using broadband as the supporting infrastructure, a group of U.S. businesses is going to generate over 100,000 employment opportunities in the country over the next two years.
Jobs4America is a newly announced group. Members of the group said that the sprouting ubiquity of high-speed broadband will facilitate them to appoint more people.
"Broadband innovation is an imperative spark that makes our lives better and renovates our way of working. Broadband innovation can work as an economic driver and generate essential new jobs for the country," said Jim Kohlenberger, executive director of Jobs4America.
"Bringing broadband to your home in the 21st century is akin to bringing electricity in the 20th. This initiative involves significant job creation across America," added Kohlenberger.

IDC declared Apple as the top Smartphone maker company in the world for the first time in the second quarter.
In the first quarter of 2011, Apple had shipped 18.7 million iPhones, second to Nokia's 24.2 million Smartphone shipments. While in the second quarter Apple shipped 20.3 million Smartphones, ahead of Nokia, Samsung, HTC and others in that order.
"In second quarter, the Smartphone market crowned a new leader, and its name is Apple. Since the iPhone's launch in 2007, Apple has made huge strides," said Ramon Llamas, an IDC analyst.
According to a research, only a 10 percent increase has been seen in Smartphone shipments from a year ago. That is the lowest level of growth of the Smartphone makers.
